What the site does.

  1. Two rooms to hire

The upstairs room holds 120 and the downstairs room 70, set side by side with the hire charge, the deposit and the kind of do each one suits, and photographs of the room dressed for parties. People can see which room fits their numbers before they get in touch.

The top of the club’s function room page: both rooms, what they hold and cost, and buttons to enquire or ring
  2. Room-hire enquiry form

Every “Hire a room” and “Ask about” button leads to one form on the Function room page, which asks for contact details, which room (upstairs, downstairs or not sure yet) and a message with the date and numbers. Someone planning a do can ask at any hour, not just when the bar is open.

The room-hire enquiry form on a phone: name, email, phone, which room, and a message
  3. Three messages up front

The home page opens with three slides that change by themselves: “Not a member? You’re welcome here.”, the function rooms with their capacities, and the DJ the club recommends. The welcome, the rooms and the DJ each take a turn at the top of the page.

  4. A recommended DJ

For anyone hiring a room, the club recommends Party DJ Nation, with buttons to call them or open their Facebook page on the home page and the Function room page. The person planning the do does not have to go hunting for one.

  5. What’s on at the club

Bingo on Thursdays, karaoke on Saturdays, live sport on the big screens, the darts, dominoes, pool and snooker teams and days out to the races, with the day and time for the regular nights. Members and newcomers can see what is on before they call in.

Two of the club’s what’s-on tiles: bingo every Thursday, and horse racing days out
  6. Hire a room, or ring

On a laptop the club’s number and a “Hire a room” button sit in the header of every page. On a phone the number becomes a call button at the top of the screen, so ringing the club is one tap.
