The Meld Hub.
Meld’s own people sign in to the Hub on their phones and change the website themselves. One sign-in covers both kitchens.

Menus, kitchen by kitchen
Choose Cuckoo or Rivington, then change a dish’s name, description or price, add or remove dishes, put them in order, or switch one off when it sells out.

-
Specials
A special is set once, shown at one kitchen or both, and switched off when it has gone.

-
What’s on
Each month’s poster goes up from a photo or a PDF, up to three months ahead, and comes off when its month is over. Rivington’s events are listed with their date and times.

-
Photos
The photographs on the front page and each kitchen’s page: add new ones from the phone, describe them, put them in order, or switch one off without losing it.

-
Serving times
Each kitchen’s week, day by day. A change reaches the front page’s tiles and the kitchen’s own page together.

-
Printed menus
Each kitchen’s A4 menu in its own style, made from the current menu, with or without the specials, to print or save as a PDF.

-
One tap to publish
Changes are saved as they are made and stay off the website until someone taps Publish. One tap puts them live, and the Hub says so once they are.

What the site does.
-
Two kitchens, one front page
The front page is Meld’s logo and a tile for each kitchen, saying when it next serves food and leading to its menu.

-
A page for each kitchen
Cuckoo and Rivington each have a page of their own: photograph, menu, what’s on, serving times and directions. A switch at the top moves between the two.

-
One list per menu
Each kitchen’s menu is one plain list. Veggie, Vegan and Gluten free buttons show only those dishes, and one button sends the menu to the group chat.

-
What’s on, month by month
Cuckoo’s What’s on is the venue’s monthly posters in a row you can swipe, each one opening full size, with the listings as text too. A month comes off by itself when it is over.

-
Serving times, a day to a line
Each kitchen’s card gives its address, when it next serves, its times a day to a line, the extra days that come round every few weeks, and directions. They are Meld’s food times, never the venue’s opening hours.

-
Food photographs that glide
Rows of Meld’s own food photographs glide slowly along the front page and each kitchen’s page. A press stops them, and they can be swiped.
